Said to be one of the best sailing regattas in the UK, Torbay Week offers exhilarating racing set against the beautiful backdrop of the English Riviera.
The long history of hosting professionally run major National and International Championships and regattas in the area has enabled us to develop a wealth of knowledge and expertise in race management. This enables us to offer an exciting and enjoyable event open to all classes of Dinghies and Yachts.
Racing is divided into four main groupings:
Keelboats and Sportsboats;
with each course managed by an experienced race management team. Additional course area may also be provided for Class specific Championships if entry numbers allow.
Races are organised each day for most boat classes and the fun continues into the evenings with social events hosted by the host Clubs. For those not taking part on the water, the horseshoe shape of the bay provides plenty of opportunities for close-up spectating.
Torbay Royal Regatta runs concurrently with Torbay Week and offers a number of non-sailing competitions and spectacles, including a Red Arrows fly over, a fireworks display and a Blades air display.
Being one of the UK’s major holiday destinations, there are plenty of B&Bs, camp sites, guest houses and hotels to stay in, plus restaurants and bars close by. The English Riviera also offers a host of other attractions and activities for everyone to enjoy.
