Ocean BMW Torbay Week 2009
In its second year of this exciting NEW event replacing the former three existing Torbay sailing regattas (Torquay, Brixham and Paignton).

The first year was a great success and we are ready to do even better this year. That means lots of good racing for a wide variety of sailing vessels, along with tons of after-sail fun at Torbay's sailing and yachting clubs.

There's plenty of shore based excitement for visitors and spectators too! And if you have raced in past regattas, you will know we provide fantastic race management, good windward leeward, Olympic and trapezoid courses to suit the fleets. The races will generally be short and competitive for all classes.

Beat the credit Crunch!
Times are hard for everyone with the economic recession and “credit crunch”, so our Ocean BMW Torbay Week is that credit crunch beating regatta. Firstly our entry fees and berthing have been pegged at last year’s levels and it was cheap then. We are giving more racing for some fleets, so here is the opportunity for a top quality regatta at a very reasonable entry cost, with free berthing available. For dinghies it is as low as £30 entry (based on the 66% discounted entry cost for early entries) and for IRC yachts it is only £70 (discounted early entry), and for that 9 or more races. Fantastic value.

The setting couldn't be better either, with the large, sheltered bay providing fantastic sailing conditions in a climate that is noted as being much warmer than the rest of the UK. Its horseshoe shape means lots of close-up spectating opportunities too. There is an immense amount of holiday accommodation available so book up early and get yourself geared up.
